About EAV

The Estonian Archives in Vancouver was established in 2000. The Society for the Advancement of Estonian Studies in Canada set up the Estonian Archives in Vancouver as a non-profit organization to be run by volunteers. Its constitution and by-law were completed in the fall of 2005.

The primary aim of EAV is to preserve the history of the Estonian community in Vancouver and British Columbia for local as well as for broader knowledge and use.

The home page was completed as a joint project of EAV and Baltic Heritage Network.

The project was sponsored by the Compatriot Program (Estonian Ministry of Education and Research). Thanks!
